In early 2016 Victor Buyck were successfully accredited to the National Highways Sector Schemes (NHSS) 20 and 19A.
NHSS 20 relates to the quality management system requirements for the execution of steelwork in the transportation and infrastructure sector , whilst NHSS19A relates to the quality management system requirements for corrosion protection of ferrous materials in the transportation and infrastructure assets using industrial coatings.
Both documents are part of the series of NHSS schemes , which are bespoke integrated management schemes within an ISO 9001:2008 framework that have been developed specifically to interpret BS EN ISO 9001:2008 as it applies to a particular activity/sector within the United Kingdom. They are and are mandatory for those steel construction companies working on future highways projects.
The NHSS approved quality management system is being applied by Victor Buyck on the projects of the New Wear Crossing in Sunderland and of the A465 Heads of the Valleys near Cardiff.
The certification for NHSS 20 and 19A is a further demonstration of the long-term commitment of Victor Buyck to the UK market. Victor Buyck now holds the following UK specific certificates: Achilles Building Confidence Level 5, RQSC (highest category), NHSS20, NHSS19A and Achilles Link-Up which cover the accreditation needs for targeted sectors in the UK.
