Description

HS2 is a new high-speed rail line currently under construction that will run between London and Birmingham. As part of this, Victor Buyck has been commissioned to fabricate, supply and assemble the new River Cole Viaducts. The project includes 2 open caisson bridges with a length of +/- 160 metres that will be manufactured entirely in weather-resistant steel.

The bridges are manufactured in 6 parts in our workshop in Eeklo and then transported to the construction site by exceptional transport, where the pieces are immediately placed in their final location by crane for further welding.

The bridges are almost identical to another project by Victor Buyck: HS2 M42/M6 Motorway Link Viaducts.
