Victor Buyck has been assigned the task of helping expand one of the most important railway intersections in the Swedish rail network, the "Olskroken" in Gothenburg. The reconstruction of the railways in this central hub is necessary to increase the accessibility and reliability of train traffic to and from Gothenburg. This venture also includes the construction of several railway bridges, allocated to Victor Buyck. The client for this gigantic project is the Swedish transport administration (Trafikverket).
The Olskroken contract is divided into three consecutive phases, whereby the new bridge sections are hoisted in with telescopic cranes during planned rail traffic interruptions.
In addition, Victor Buyck will also construct two other railway bridges within the scope of this project: the Godstågsviaduct (for freight trains) and the Gullbergsån bridge.
