Cruiseterminal Antwerp

On the river Scheldt near the city of Antwerp a new cruise terminal will be constructed. This terminal is capable of handling river cruises and sea cruises. Our project scope includes the design of a floating mooring construction and the stabilization of the historic quay wall.

The mooring construction consists of three large mooring pontoons with a length of 120 meters each and two intermediate pontoons that carry each a 70 meter long entrance bridge to the quay wall. The mooring construction is designed for handling cruise ships up to 38.000 tonnes. Innovative solutions are adapted in order to realize a design that is capable to withstand these high mooring loads and a tidal water level range of more than five meters.
