Reconstruction of the bridge in Affligem

Ten years after the demolition of the damaged bridge across the E40 in Affligem, a new bridge is built. The bridge is designed with one lane for vehicles and two lanes for bicycles. 

Victor Buyck Steel Construction is constructing the four beams of the bridge. These will be connected and function as two braced pairs. The braced pairs (each 110 tons) will be delivered on site as a whole and placed at neoprene supports.
